Ingredients
- 200g beef (thinly sliced)
- 100g enoki mushrooms
- 8 rice paper sheets
- Salt (to taste)
- Water (for soaking rice paper)
- Boiling oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef: Season the thinly sliced beef with salt. You can marinate it for about 15 minutes for extra flavor if desired.
- Prepare the Enoki: Trim the root ends off the enoki mushrooms and separate them gently.
- Heat the Oil: In a deep pan, heat enough oil for frying over medium-high heat until it reaches about 180°C (350°F).
- Soak the Rice Paper: In a shallow bowl, fill it with warm water. Dip one rice paper sheet into the water for about 10-15 seconds until soft and pliable, then remove and let it drain briefly.
- Assemble the Rolls: Lay the softened rice paper on a clean surface. Place a few slices of seasoned beef and a small handful of enoki mushrooms in the center. Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling and then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
- Fry the Rolls: Carefully place the rolls in the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.
- Serve: Serve the crispy beef and enoki rice paper rolls hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
These Beef and Enoki Rice Paper Rolls are not only delicious but also a great way to engage everyone in the cooking process. Enjoy the crispy texture and savory flavors as a delightful appetizer or a fun main dish!
