Beef and Potato Casserole

What Started it all:
potatoes, onion, ground beef.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Season the beef and onion mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom.
  6. Spoon the beef and onion mixture on top of the potatoes, spreading it evenly.
  7. Layer the remaining sliced potatoes on top of the beef mixture.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
