Beef and Potato Casserole
What Started it all:
potatoes, onion, ground beef.
Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Season the beef and onion mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom.
- Spoon the beef and onion mixture on top of the potatoes, spreading it evenly.
- Layer the remaining sliced potatoes on top of the beef mixture.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
