These delicious veggie patties are packed with flavor and nutrients. They’re a perfect option for a vegetarian meal and can be enjoyed by anyone, thanks to the rich and savory combination of beets and garlic.


  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 medium-sized beets, cooked and peeled
  • 1 can of chickpeas, drained
  • 1 can of sweetcorn, drained
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • Olive oil for frying


  1. In a food processor, combine the garlic, beets, chickpeas, and sweetcorn. Pulse until well combined but still slightly chunky.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, cumin, and paprika. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties and coat each patty with flour.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  7. Serve the beet and garlic veggie patties with your favorite side dish or in a burger bun with your choice of toppings.
