This low-carb beef tenderloin with turnip mustard is a bold and flavorful dish that's sure to impress.
Ingredients
- 4 beef tenderloin steaks
- 2 large turnips, peeled and sliced
- 4 tablespoons mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
- 1 frying pan
Instructions
- Season the beef tenderloin steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Sear the beef tenderloin steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired level of doneness. Remove from the pan and let them rest.
- In the same pan, add a bit more olive oil if needed and sauté the sliced turnips until they are tender and lightly browned.
- Spread a tablespoon of mustard on top of each beef tenderloin steak.
- Serve the beef tenderloin steaks over the sautéed turnips.
