Ingredients
- 8 British sausages
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef stock
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe casserole dish, toss the potatoes, onions, garlic, and olive oil together. Season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange the sausages on top of the vegetables.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and whisk in the flour to make a roux. Cook the roux for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in the beef stock to make a smooth gravy. Add the Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the gravy over the sausages and potatoes in the casserole dish.
- Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the sausages are cooked through.
