Ingredients

  • 2 cups of seitan, chopped
  • 1 small cabbage, shredded
  • 4 cups of vegetable broth or stock
  • 1 food processor

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the chopped seitan until it's nicely browned.
  3. Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook until it's slightly softened.
  4. Pour the vegetable broth or stock into the skillet and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Transfer the seitan and cabbage mixture into a baking dish.
  6. Using a food processor, pulse the mixture until it's finely chopped but not pureed.
  7. Pour the mixture back into the skillet and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
  8. Carefully transfer the mixture into a pie dish.
  9. Roll out the pastry and place it over the pie dish, trimming any excess.
  10. Make a few slits in the pastry to allow steam to escape.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
