British Seitan and Cabbage Pie

Seitan, Cabbage, broth or stock (chicken, vegetable), food processor
Hello there, lovely people! Today, I’ve got a fabulous British recipe for you that’s quick, easy, and absolutely delicious. This Seitan and Cabbage Pie is perfect for a cozy dinner with friends or family.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of seitan, chopped
- 1 small cabbage, shredded
- 4 cups of vegetable broth or stock
- 1 food processor
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the chopped seitan until it's nicely browned.
- Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook until it's slightly softened.
- Pour the vegetable broth or stock into the skillet and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Transfer the seitan and cabbage mixture into a baking dish.
- Using a food processor, pulse the mixture until it's finely chopped but not pureed.
- Pour the mixture back into the skillet and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Carefully transfer the mixture into a pie dish.
- Roll out the pastry and place it over the pie dish, trimming any excess.
- Make a few slits in the pastry to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
