Cheesy Baked Chicken with Crunchy Cracker Crust

This recipe combines the succulent flavors of chicken with the delightful crunch of crackers and the gooey goodness of cheese slices. It’s a perfect dish for a family dinner or a gathering with friends.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 cups of crushed crackers
- 8 slices of cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the crushed crackers.
- Dip each chicken breast into the crushed crackers, pressing lightly to ensure they adhere to the chicken.
- Place the cracker-coated chicken breasts back on the baking sheet.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the oven and place a slice of cheese on top of each breast.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
