This hearty and comforting dish is perfect for a family dinner. The combination of tender meatballs, pasta, and gooey cheese will make this a favorite for both kids and adults.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz elbow noodles
  • 16 meatballs
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the elbow noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat.
  4. Add the meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked elbow noodles, meatballs with sauce, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
