This unique sushi recipe combines the rich flavors of bacon and mushrooms with the creaminess of cheddar cheese and the sweetness of caramelized onions. The addition of a cheezy soy sauce jalapeno sauce adds a kick of heat to the dish, creating a delightful flavor explosion in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup of mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup of caramelized onion
  • 4 cups of sushi rice
  • 4 nori seaweed sheets
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
  • 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it into small pieces.
  2. In a pan, sauté the mushrooms until they are golden brown and tender.
  3. Lay out a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat, and spread a thin layer of sushi rice over it.
  4. Sprinkle the rice with the crumbled bacon, sautéed mushrooms, cheddar cheese, and caramelized onion.
  5. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat, then slice it into individual pieces.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, cream cheese, jalapeno, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt to make the cheezy soy sauce jalapeno sauce.
  7. Serve the sushi with the sauce on the side for dipping.
