Chicken and Ham Fried Rice

chicken, rice, ham.

Note: Feel free to add any additional vegetables or seasonings to customize this fried rice recipe to your liking.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 cup of diced ham
  • 1/2 cup of diced onion
  • 1/2 cup of diced carrots
  • 1/2 cup of diced bell pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add diced chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add diced ham, onion, carrots, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  4. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the cooked rice to the other side. Break up any clumps of rice using a spatula.
  5. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet with the rice and vegetables. Mix well.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  7. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ham, and rice mixture. Stir well to combine and coat everything evenly.
  8. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through and the flavors have melded together.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
