Chicken and Ham Rice
What Started it all:
chicken, rice, ham.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 cups of rice
- 200g of ham
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat and sear the chicken until golden brown on both sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the ham and cook until slightly crispy.
- Meanwhile, cook the rice according to package instructions.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of cooked rice evenly.
- Place the seared chicken breasts on top of the rice.
- Spread the ham evenly over the chicken.
- Pour any remaining juices from the skillet over the chicken and ham.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
