Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and butter. Cook until fragrant.
  4. Add flour to the skillet and stir to combine with the butter and garlic. Cook for about 1 minute, until the flour is golden brown.
  5. Slowly pour in the chicken broth while stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer and cook until the mixture has thickened slightly.
  6. Add heavy cream and parsley to the skillet. Stir to combine and continue cooking for about 5 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
  7. Add the chicken back into the skillet, spoon the sauce over the chicken, and continue to cook until the chicken is heated through.
