Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and butter. Cook until fragrant.
- Add flour to the skillet and stir to combine with the butter and garlic. Cook for about 1 minute, until the flour is golden brown.
- Slowly pour in the chicken broth while stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer and cook until the mixture has thickened slightly.
- Add heavy cream and parsley to the skillet. Stir to combine and continue cooking for about 5 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- Add the chicken back into the skillet, spoon the sauce over the chicken, and continue to cook until the chicken is heated through.
