This Chinese-inspired recipe combines the flavors of canned fish and fresh cabbage with a hint of coffee for a unique and delicious stir-fry.


  • 2 cans of fish (tuna, sardines)
  • 1 small cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of coffee
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Drain the canned fish and set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine the coffee with a splash of water to create a coffee paste.
  3. Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the coffee paste to the hot wok and stir-fry for 30 seconds to release the aroma.
  5. Add the sliced cabbage to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it begins to soften.
  6. Add the canned fish to the wok and continue to stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the fish is heated through.
