Classic Bacon and Egg Breakfast

What Started it all:
eggs, bacon
This classic breakfast dish is the perfect way to start your day. With crispy bacon and perfectly cooked eggs, it's a simple yet satisfying meal that will leave you wanting more.
Ingredients
- 8 eggs
- 8 slices of bacon
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Butter, for frying
Instructions
- Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
- In the same frying pan, melt a generous amount of butter over medium-low heat. Crack the eggs into the pan, being careful not to break the yolks. Season the eggs with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook the eggs to your desired level of doneness. For sunny-side-up eggs, cook them for about 2-3 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. For over-easy eggs, carefully flip them after 2-3 minutes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. For over-hard eggs, cook them for a total of 4-5 minutes until the yolks are fully cooked.
- While the eggs are cooking, place the bacon slices on a cutting board and chop them into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Once the eggs are cooked to your liking, carefully transfer them to a serving plate. Sprinkle the chopped bacon over the eggs, adding an extra burst of flavor and crunch.
- Serve the classic bacon and egg breakfast with your choice of toast, hash browns, or fresh fruit on the side. Enjoy!
Note: Remember to adjust the quantities of ingredients according to the number of people you are serving.
