A comforting, easy-to-make stew that’s perfect for a chilly evening with loved ones!


  • 1 can of tuna (drained and flaked)
  • 1 can of sardines (drained and chopped)
  • 2 large tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


  1. In a large slow cooker, heat the olive oil over low heat.
  2. Add the diced tomatoes, flaked tuna, and chopped sardines. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the baking soda, salt, and pepper. Stir again.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and let it cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
