Creamy Garlic Shrimp Rice with Cheesy Finish

Shrimp, rice, cheese
Note: Feel free to add other vegetables like peas, carrots, or bell peppers for added color and flavor. Customize it as per your preferences for a fantastic meal full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of rice
- 1 pound of fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to the package instructions and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, around 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth and milk.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cooked rice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the shrimp and rice mixture.
- Cover the skillet and let it cook on low heat until the cheese melts, approximately 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve hot and enjoy this creamy and cheesy delight!
