Crispy Pork Chops with Leek and Cereal Crust

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 leeks, sliced
  • 2 cups cereal (crushed)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat some olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until they develop a golden crust.
  5. Remove the pork chops from the pan and set them aside.
  6. In the same pan, add the sliced leeks and cook until they soften and caramelize.
  7. Place the crushed cereal in a shallow dish.
  8. Dip each pork chop into the crushed cereal, coating both sides generously.
  9. Transfer the coated pork chops to a baking dish and place them in the preheated oven.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pork chops are cooked through and the cereal crust is crispy.
  11. Serve the pork chops with the caramelized leeks on the side.
