Fiery Green Bean and Nut Salad

  • Lettuce
  • Green beans

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the almonds and walnuts on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 8-10 minutes until they are golden and fragrant.
  3. While the nuts are toasting, bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the green beans for about 3 minutes, then immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  4. Once the nuts are toasted, allow them to cool, then roughly chop them.
  5. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.
  6. Add the blanched green beans and chopped nuts to the bowl with the lettuce.
  7. Drizzle the salad with your favorite vinaigrette or dressing, toss to combine, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
