These delightful strawberry mooncakes are a perfect fusion of Japanese and Western flavors. They are a healthy and delicious treat for the whole family to enjoy.


  • 400g glutinous rice flour
  • 200g fresh strawberries, diced
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 150ml water
  • 50g vegetable oil


  1. In a large bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour and caster sugar.
  2. Slowly add the water and vegetable oil, and mix until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into balls.
  4. Flatten each dough ball into a small disc and place a spoonful of diced strawberries in the center.
  5. Carefully wrap the dough around the strawberries, sealing it well.
  6. Place the mooncakes on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  8. Bake the mooncakes for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Allow the mooncakes to cool before serving.
