Gluten-Free Almond Crusted Fish with Avocado Salsa

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets of canned fish (tuna or sardines)
  • 1 cup of almonds, finely chopped
  • 2 ripe avocados, diced
  • 1 crockpot

Instructions

  1. Preheat your crockpot on the low setting.
  2. While the crockpot is warming up, take the finely chopped almonds and spread them out on a plate.
  3. Take each fish fillet and coat it generously with the chopped almonds, pressing gently to ensure they stick.
  4. Place the almond-crusted fish fillets into the preheated crockpot and cover with the lid. Let them cook for about 2-3 hours until the fish is tender and flaky.
  5. In the meantime, prepare the avocado salsa by mixing the diced avocados with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
  6. Once the fish is cooked, serve it with a generous spoonful of the avocado salsa on top.
