What Started it all:
Almonds, Avocado, canned fish (tuna, sardines), crockpot
Hello, my dear foodies! Today, I’ve got a fantastic and gluten-free recipe for you that’s perfect for four people. It’s a delightful almond-crusted fish with a refreshing avocado salsa. Let’s get cooking!
Ingredients
- 4 fillets of canned fish (tuna or sardines)
- 1 cup of almonds, finely chopped
- 2 ripe avocados, diced
- 1 crockpot
Instructions
- Preheat your crockpot on the low setting.
- While the crockpot is warming up, take the finely chopped almonds and spread them out on a plate.
- Take each fish fillet and coat it generously with the chopped almonds, pressing gently to ensure they stick.
- Place the almond-crusted fish fillets into the preheated crockpot and cover with the lid. Let them cook for about 2-3 hours until the fish is tender and flaky.
- In the meantime, prepare the avocado salsa by mixing the diced avocados with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
- Once the fish is cooked, serve it with a generous spoonful of the avocado salsa on top.
