  • 4 Mackerel fillets
  • 1 pound Okra, trimmed and sliced
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Season the mackerel fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the sliced okra in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Lay the seasoned mackerel fillets on top of the okra.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with water to create a sauce, then pour it over the mackerel and okra.
  5. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the mackerel is tender and the okra is cooked through.
  6. Once done, serve the mackerel and okra hot, with the sauce from the crockpot spooned over the top.
