Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried black beans
  • 1 cup dried lentils
  • 1 fennel bulb, chopped
  • 4 cups water or vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the dried black beans and lentils thoroughly.
  2. Place the black beans, lentils, and chopped fennel bulb in the slow cooker.
  3. Add 4 cups of water or vegetable broth to the slow cooker.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until the beans and lentils are tender.
