Greek Ham and Pea Skillet

What Started it all:
Ham, Pea, tea, frying pan


  • 400g of ham, diced
  • 2 cups of peas
  • 4 cups of cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced ham to the pan and sauté until lightly browned.
  3. Stir in the peas and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are tender.
  4. Sprinkle the oregano and garlic powder over the ham and pea mixture, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir everything together until heated through.
  6. Serve the Greek ham and pea skillet hot, garnished with a sprig of fresh oregano if desired.
