Greek-Style Chicken and Green Bean Skillet

In this hearty and flavorful skillet dish, we combine tender chicken breast with crisp green beans, rich tomato paste, and a hint of Mediterranean flair. Perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner that's sure to please the whole family.


  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)


  1. Heat the olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the green beans to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the garlic, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
  5. Add the chicken broth to the skillet and stir to combine.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.
  7. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 5-7 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  9. Serve hot, topped with crumbled feta cheese if desired.
