Green Tea Infused Rice

Green tea
This recipe will serve 4 people, so you may want to adjust the measurements accordingly if you are cooking for more or fewer people. Enjoy the green tea infused rice as a flavorful alternative to regular rice.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of white rice
- 3 cups of water
- 2 teaspoons of green tea leaves
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Instructions
- Rinse the rice thoroughly in cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, bring the 3 cups of water to a boil and add the green tea leaves.
- Reduce the heat and let the tea simmer for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, strain the tea leaves and return the tea to the pot.
- Add the rice, salt, and olive oil to the pot with the tea.
- Bring the pot to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let it stand for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve as a side dish.
