What Started it all:
steak, onions, potatoes.
This recipe is a delicious and satisfying meal for four people. The steak is grilled to perfection and served with sweet caramelized onions and crispy roasted potatoes.
Ingredients
- 4 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or your preferred cut)
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4 large potatoes, cut into wedges
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Rub the steaks with olive oil and season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they become soft and caramelized, stirring occasionally. This may take about 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Place the potato wedges on a baking sheet and roast in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for about 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- While the potatoes are roasting, grill the steaks on the preheated grill. Cook for about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time to your desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let the steaks rest for a few minutes.
- Serve each grilled steak with a generous portion of caramelized onions and roasted potato wedges. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
