  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup diced ham
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter


  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them until well mixed. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Pour half of the beaten eggs into the skillet and swirl to spread evenly.
  4. Sprinkle half of the diced ham and shredded cheddar cheese over the eggs.
  5. Once the edges of the omelette begin to set, gently lift them with a spatula and let the uncooked eggs flow underneath.
  6. When the omelette is mostly set but still slightly runny on top, fold it in half with the spatula.
  7. Slide the omelette onto a plate and repeat the process with the remaining ingredients to make the second omelette.
