Ham and Cheese Rice

This delicious and comforting dish combines the flavors of ham, cheese, and rice. It's perfect for a family dinner or a gathering with friends.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the diced ham and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked rice to the skillet and mix well with the ham and vegetables.
- Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried thyme. Stir to evenly distribute the seasonings.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the rice mixture. Cover the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
