Ham and Green Bean Rice Recipe

This recipe serves 4 people.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 2 cups rice
  • 8 ounces ham, diced

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice and stir. Cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for 18 minutes or until all of the water has been absorbed and the rice is tender. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the diced ham over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the green beans and cook for 5-7 minutes or until tender.
  4. Add the cooked ham to the skillet with the green beans and stir to combine.
  5. Divide the rice among 4 plates and top each plate with the ham and green bean mixture.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
