  • 1 cup hemp seeds
  • 1 leek, finely chopped
  • 1 cup oats
  • 3 cups water
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish


  1. Start by rinsing the hemp seeds under cold water, then drain them and set them aside.
  2. In a rice cooker, combine the chopped leek, oats, and rinsed hemp seeds.
  3. Add water and a pinch of salt to the rice cooker, and give everything a gentle stir to combine.
  4. Close the rice cooker and set it to the regular cooking cycle.
  5. Once the rice cooker switches to the 'warm' setting, let the oatmeal sit for an additional 10 minutes to ensure it's fully cooked.
  6. After 10 minutes, open the rice cooker and give the oatmeal a final stir to fluff it up.
  7. Serve the hemp seed leek oatmeal in bowls, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
