Indian Spiced Turkey with Okra and Dried Fruits

Turkey Breast, Okra, dried fruits (raisins, apricots), food processor
This flavorful Indian dish combines tender turkey breast with the unique texture of okra and the sweetness of dried fruits.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Turkey Breast, cut into cubes
- 1 lb Okra, trimmed and halved
- 1/2 cup Dried fruits (raisins, apricots)
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 inch Fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the dried fruits until finely chopped.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the turkey cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Stir in the coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric, and salt. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the okra and the chopped dried fruits to the skillet. Stir to combine all the ingredients.
- Cover the skillet and let the dish simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the turkey is cooked through and the okra is tender.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
