Ah, Italian cuisine - bold, comforting flavors that never fail to impress. Today, I’m going to show you how to make a delicious Italian stuffed cabbage rolls dish that will leave your guests begging for more. Let’s get started!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling a large pot of water.
  2. Carefully remove the core from the head of cabbage, then place the whole head in the pot of boiling water. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, or until the leaves are softened.
  3. While the cabbage is cooking, heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until it's browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Once the cabbage leaves are softened, remove them from the pot and allow them to cool.
  6. In a separate saucepan, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
  7. Take each cabbage leaf and place a spoonful of the cooked rice and a portion of the seasoned ground beef in the center. Roll the cabbage leaf around the filling, tucking in the sides as you go.
  8. Place the stuffed cabbage rolls in a baking dish, seam side down.
  9. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  10. Cover the cabbage rolls with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through.
