Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices crispy bacon, crumbled
- 2 jalapeños, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Oil for deep frying
- 1 spoon
- 1 rolling pan
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, diced jalapeños, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Using a spoon, scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, roughly the size of a golf ball.
- Place the cheese balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
- While the cheese balls are chilling, heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully drop a few cheese balls at a time into the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Repeat the frying process with the remaining cheese balls.
- Allow the cheese balls to cool slightly before serving.
These Jalapeño Bacon Cheese Balls are best enjoyed warm, straight out of the fryer, but they can also be reheated in the oven if needed. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them on their own. They're sure to be a hit at your next gathering!
