Ingredients
- 1 cup Gum Base
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
- 2 tbsp Glycerin
- 1 tsp Citric Acid
- 2 tsp Tangerine Flavoring
- Sphere Shaped Molds (enough for 5 servings)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Workspace: Make sure your kitchen counter is clean and your molds are ready. Lightly dust the molds with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
- Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the gum base, powdered sugar, light corn syrup, glycerin, citric acid, and tangerine flavoring. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly blended.
- Heat the Mixture: Transfer the mixture to a saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously until the gum base is melted and the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to overheat it.
- Pour into Molds: Once the mixture is smooth, carefully pour it into the sphere-shaped molds, filling them about three-quarters full to allow for expansion.
- Cool and Set: Allow the filled molds to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, transfer them to the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to fully set.
- Remove from Molds: After the gummies have set, gently remove them from the molds. If they stick, you can lightly tap the mold or use a small knife to help them out.
- Enjoy: Dust the gummies with a little extra powdered sugar to prevent sticking and serve them to your guests, or store them in an airtight container.
