Juicy Pan-Seared Chicken Breast

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper, rubbing the spices evenly all over the chicken.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Once the skillet is hot, add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until well browned.
  5. Remove the chicken breasts from the skillet and transfer them to a baking dish.
  6. Bake the chicken breasts in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. While the chicken is baking, melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat and add minced garlic.
  8. Stir garlic for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
  9. Add chicken broth to the skillet and stir to combine.
  10. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  11. Once the chicken is done baking, remove it from the oven.
  12. Pour the garlic sauce on top of the chicken breasts and serve immediately.
