Ingredients

  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup of okra, sliced
  • 1/4 cup of chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: steamed rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Remove the cooked shrimp from the pan and set them aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the sliced okra and sauté until they are tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Once the okra is cooked, add the cooked shrimp back to the pan.
  6. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the shrimp and okra in the pan.
  7. Gently stir the mixture until the chocolate chips melt and coat the shrimp and okra evenly.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve the Korean-inspired chocolate shrimp stir-fry over steamed rice if desired.
