  • 4 turkey breasts
  • 4 medium-sized turnips
  • Spices: cumin, paprika, chili powder

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder.
  3. Rub the spice mixture onto the turkey breasts, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Place the turkey breasts on a baking tray and roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. While the turkey is roasting, peel and chop the turnips into small chunks.
  6. Boil the turnip chunks in a large pot of salted water until they are tender, then drain.
  7. Transfer the cooked turnips to a food processor and blend until smooth, adding a little butter or cream for richness if desired.
  8. Season the turnip mash with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Once the turkey breasts are cooked, serve them alongside the creamy turnip mash.
