Korean Stir-Fried Shrimp with Green Beans

This delicious Korean-inspired stir-fry combines succulent shrimp with crisp green beans, all brought together with a savory soy sauce-based glaze. It's quick to prepare and perfect for a healthy, family-friendly meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups green beans, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Cooked rice, to serve
Instructions
- Peel and devein the shrimp if not already done.
- Trim the green beans and slice them into bite-sized pieces.
- Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.
- Place a wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the vegetable oil.
- Add the shrimp to the wok and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes, until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add the green beans and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, until they are tender but still crisp.
- Return the shrimp to the wok with the green beans. Pour the sauce over the mixture and stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve hot over cooked rice.
