A Delightful and Quick Weeknight Meal! This recipe is a perfect example of how a pressure cooker can save the day on a busy weeknight. With just a few simple ingredients, you'll have a flavorful and nutritious meal ready in no time!


  • 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup of okra, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 teaspoon of Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh green onions and toasted sesame seeds for garnish (optional)


  1. Press the sauté button on your pressure cooker and heat the pot until it reads 'HOT'.
  2. Add the sliced okra and cook until it starts to soften, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the tofu and cook for an additional minute, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the Gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and water to the pot. Stir to combine.
  5. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and set the valve to 'SEALING'. Cook at high pressure for 5 minutes.
  6. Let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then quick-release any remaining pressure.
  7. Season with salt to taste.
  8. Garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds, if desired.
