Low-Carb Asparagus with Crispy Bacon and Creamy Sauce

Springtime recipe featuring fresh asparagus with a crispy bacon and creamy sauce.


  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 6 slices of thick-cut bacon
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup water
  • Sous vide machine


  1. Preheat the sous vide machine to 180°F (82°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the asparagus to the bowl and toss to coat.
  4. Cook the asparagus in the sous vide machine for 1-2 hours, or until tender.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  6. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. In the same skillet, add the asparagus and toss to combine with the remaining bacon drippings.
  8. Serve the asparagus hot, topped with crispy bacon and drizzled with the creamy sauce.
