Mediterranean Spiced Chickpeas Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and let it heat up for about 1 minute.
- Add the chickpeas to the skillet and stir for 1-2 minutes until they start to brown a little bit.
- Add the cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, and garlic powder to the skillet and stir for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Turn off the heat, season with salt and pepper to taste, and give it a good stir to combine all the flavors.
- Serve hot as a side dish or on top of a salad, garnished with your favorite toppings (such as fresh herbs, crumbled feta cheese, or a squeeze of lemon juice).
