This unique fusion dish combines the savory flavors of a traditional beef burrito with the umami-rich taste of nori (seaweed) and the creamy goodness of guacamole. Perfect for a fun and delicious meal for four people!
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 4 sheets of nori (seaweed)
- 1 cup guacamole (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Season the beef with cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the spices are well-incorporated.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Lay out the nori sheets on a clean, dry surface.
- Spread a thin layer of guacamole on each nori sheet, leaving about 1 inch (2.5 cm) from the edges.
- Add a layer of cooked rice on top of the guacamole.
- Evenly distribute the seasoned ground beef over the rice.
- Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and chopped cilantro on top of the beef.
- Carefully roll the nori sheet from one end to the other, keeping the filling inside. Use a bit of water to seal the edges if needed.
- Repeat for the remaining nori sheets.
- Slice each burrito in half for easier handling.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
