Ingredients
- 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs) ham
- 2 oranges
- 4 eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Score the fat of the ham in a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut too deep into the meat.
- Squeeze the juice of one orange over the ham, making sure to coat it evenly.
- Place the ham in a roasting pan and cover it with foil.
- Bake the ham in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 60°C (140°F).
- While the ham is cooking, prepare the glaze by combining the juice of the remaining orange with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar in a small saucepan.
- Heat the glaze over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly.
- Remove the foil from the ham during the last 15 minutes of cooking and brush the glaze over the surface.
- Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, and continue cooking until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
- While the ham is resting, prepare the eggs to your liking. Whether you prefer them fried, scrambled, or poached, cook them to perfection.
- Serve the ham sliced with a side of eggs, and enjoy!
