Ingredients
- 4 fish fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup butter (room temperature)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add the fish fillets to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the fish from the skillet and keep warm. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 cup of water to the skillet. Stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Pour the butter sauce over the fish fillets and serve immediately.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until the dough comes together.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
This meal is a perfect combination of savory and sweet, with the richness of the butter sauce complementing the tender fish, and the simple yet delicious sugar cookies providing a sweet ending. Enjoy this delightful meal with your loved ones!
