Pineapple Fried Rice

What Started it all:
rice, onions, ham, pineapple.
Enjoy this flavorful and colorful dish with a hint of sweetness from the pineapple!
Ingredients
- 2 cups of rice
- 1 onion, diced
- 200g of ham, diced
- 1 cup of pineapple chunks
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of ginger powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside to cool.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
- Add the diced onions and sauté until they become translucent.
- Add the diced ham and cook until it starts to brown.
- Push the onions and ham to one side of the pan and add the cooled rice to the other side.
- Stir-fry the rice for a few minutes, breaking up any clumps.
- Add the pineapple chunks and mix well.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the rice and stir until everything is well coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Continue to cook for a few more minutes until everything is heated through.
- Serve the pineapple fried rice hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
