Ingredients
- 2 cups rice
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the rice and cook until tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the garlic, onion, and red bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables have softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.
- Stir in the cooked rice, peas, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
- Serve the shrimp rice hot and garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
