Roasted Pork Shoulder with Caramelized Onions

This roasted pork shoulder with caramelized onions is the perfect recipe for an easy and delicious dinner for two. The juicy and tender pork is roasted to perfection and served alongside sweet and savory caramelized onions.


  • 1 pound pork shoulder, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Season the pork with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned on all sides.
  4. Remove the pork from the skillet and place it in a baking dish.
  5. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and sauté until they are caramelized and tender, about 10-12 minutes.
  6. Pour the caramelized onions over the pork in the baking dish and bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes or until the pork is cooked through and the onions are golden brown.
  7. Serve the roasted pork shoulder with caramelized onions hot and enjoy!
