Ingredients
- 1 ham steak, about 1 inch thick
- 1 cup root beer
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small saucepan, boil root beer until it is reduced by half, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Brush the ham steak with half of the reduced root beer, making sure to coat it evenly on both sides.
- Place the ham steak on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the ham steak in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until it is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- While the ham is baking, pour the remaining root beer reduction into a small saucepan and simmer on low heat until it thickens and becomes a glaze-like consistency, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the ham steak is cooked, remove it from the oven and brush it with the root beer glaze.
- Serve the ham steak immediately, hot and glazed with root beer goodness!
