Ingredients
- 1 can of sardines in olive oil (drained)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- Sous vide machine
Instructions
- Preheat the sous vide machine to 145°F (63°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the drained sardines, sliced onion, sugar, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
- Place the sardine mixture into a large ziplock bag or a heat-safe container.
- Seal the bag or cover the container, making sure to remove as much air as possible.
- Place the bag or container in the preheated sous vide machine and cook for 30 minutes.
- Remove the bag or container from the machine and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve the sardines warm, garnished with fresh parsley or thyme, if desired.
