Sausage, Mushroom, and Cheese Stuffed Patties

A delicious and hearty meal perfect for a family dinner or a casual get-together. These sausage, mushroom, and cheese stuffed patties are sure to impress everyone at the table.
Ingredients
- 200g sausage meat
- 200g mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pickling spice
- 4 tbsp cooking oil
- 4 slices cheese
- 4 hamburger patties
- 4 tbsp ketchup
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the finely chopped onions and cook until translucent.
- Add the chopped mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown.
- Add the sausage meat, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned and fully cooked.
- Season with salt and pickling spice, then set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, eggs, water, and a pinch of salt until you have a smooth batter. Adjust the water amount if necessary to get the right consistency.
- Take the hamburger patties and make a small indentation in the center.
- Place a spoonful of the sausage and mushroom mixture into the indentation.
- Top with a slice of cheese, then gently press the edges of the patty to seal the filling inside.
- Heat the remaining cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each stuffed patty into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Spread a tablespoon of ketchup on each patty.
- Top with thinly sliced cucumbers.
- Serve immediately while hot.
